[...] I came across an online video of Jack Schwager talking at an FXCM conference (thanks to Trader’s Narrative). Schwager is always someone worth listening to based on his experience in the markets and his connection with so many great traders through the Market Wizards books he did. It strikes me as being very similar to the Winning Methods of the Market Wizards video I have myself. (Note: The online video just starts right up and has no controls, so you have to run it right through.) [...]

Just a note... as Babak mentioned above, these files were only available for a limited time, at least from me. I no longer have them, but there is a steady stream of requests for them even now. So, if anyone does still have them, and wants to distribute them, plenty of people will be glad to hear it.

Idempotent has been kind enough to create two files (one video and the other just audio). They are only available for a limited time on this temporary server so grab them now:

video

audio

And make sure you check out his blog: Idempotent

I made a 150MB .mp4 movie of the talk, which I tested with Quicktime 7 and Windows Media Player 10. Since I noticed there wasn't much visual going on with the talk, I also just extracted the audio to a 36MB .mp3 file. Now Schwager can teach us while jogging or in a car. :-) Anyone feel free to contact me if you'd like a copy of either. idempotent@mac.com or leave a comment on http://idempotent-trader.blogspot.com

The swf file is pretty short, and has a reference to a "flv" file. I'm downloading it right now, via this command:

curl 'http://www.fxcmexpo.com/video/Jack Schwager-FXCM Streaming Expo1Mbps_001.flv' > movie.flv

It's a 553MB transfer, so I am pretty sure this is the video itself. You weren't kidding about it being long, I guess! Once it finishes downloading, I'll try to convert it to something like quicktime or AVI. With the d/l speed I'm currently getting from fxcmexpo.com, it looks like it will take a few hours to get.

Bah...that first link didn't work with Copy/Paste. If you close up the spaces, it should link directly to the .SWF file.

Hmmm...it's Flash embedded video. The direct link to the .SWF file is:

-> http://www.fxcmexpo.com/video/Jack Schwager-FXCM Streaming Expo1Mbps_001.swf

I haven't tried this, but if you use the Firefox browser, this Add-On will do the trick:

-> https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1993/

"Downloads all or selected embedded objects on a webpage. Can be used for downloading movies, mp3s, flash, quicktime, or other embedded files."

That might work. Cheers. :-)
