Houston Texas Real Estate
Published August 21st, 2008 in Reviews Tags: Dallas, foreclosure, housing, Houston, mortgage crisis, real estate, San Antonio, Texas. To say that the US real estate market is in the dumps is a major understatement. Just a few days ago a house in Detroit made international headlines when it sold for $1. Where most see negativity, however, such extreme market conditions can also provide opportunity.
But before you can take advantage, you need to arm yourself with knowledge. Here is a great “one-stop-shop” for those interested in the Texas real estate market and specifically, the Houston real estate market. The graph to the left is the one year average home prices in Houston (from Zillow.com).
HoustonTexasRealEstate.com is a community driven site that provides dialogue between consumers and real estate professionals. The site provides a community blog chock full of information, neighborhood profiles, a question and answers section, an interactive neighborhood map and much more.
It is free for agents to register, and since the directory is sorted by their level of participation, professionals are motivated to provide quality information that you can benefit from.
Obviously, there is a lot of content there that is specific to the Houston, Texas market. For example, their Houston neighborhoods page provides details about the different areas of the city. But you will also find a lot of general information, applicable to any real estate deal. Which reminds me of a neat strategy that I shared before that can help you save money and sell your house much faster.
And by the way, if you are interested in other cities like Dallas or San Antonio, check out DallasTexasRealEstate.com and SanAntonioHomes.com)
