I love the low commissions and executions but the news feed sucks, and the charts are retard slow. Service chat is pathetic, and the software should have a monthly magazine and hard copy guide. The upgrade checker delays start up daily and had to be disbled, since it refuses to check biweekly as specified. Takes so much time with software, trading research and timing can be lost. Button Trader ? have to take a look.... Chart Trader sounds cool, but I'm afraid to try it. It would be nice to set a chartline like a trailing stop, and one as a trailing upside channel. Take a shower and come back to a fat profit is one of the best things in life!

Does anyone do covered calls on IB? I can't figure how to close out just the call leg without dumping the underlying.

I've been with them for about 8 years and they truly do have a wide range of products, with good executions, low commissions, the best interest rate on free cash, great insurance on accounts, no exposure to loans ... all of that trumps what is some pretty bad customer service (widely acknowledged). As far as the trading interface, not crazy about it; I use ButtonTrader, an amazing piece of software that is considerably better than Ninja (but ButtonTrader only runs with IB). Thanks ...
