[...] Eventhough I still think of this as another bull market correction, I bemoaned the lack of real fear in the market. Now, this final puzzle piece seems to be falling into place. [...]

I'm not sure if you’re interested, but I sent a letter to ISE Options concerning the substantial data disparity in their two sites over the past several days. I haven’t heard back…actually, ISE doesn’t seem to reply to email in a timely manner. Maybe it would help if others dropped them a line.

Concerning the disparity of ISEE Sentiment data, as shown on the website link below:

https://www.iseoptions.com/marketplace/statistics/isee_history.asp

the historical ISEE readings, for the what is presumably the composite index, over the past several days --August 6, 7, and 9-- show scores of 44,12, 42. August 8th's ISEE Sentiment Index number is missing from the site.

However, on the other website link:

http://www.ise.com/WebForm/viewPage.aspx?categoryId=126&header3=true&menu0=true&link1=tr..

the ISEE readings on the chart for the dates August 6,7, and 9 are 92, 51, 96, also with no data available for 8/8/07.

The disparity between these two sets of ISEE Sentiment data is rather significant and leads one to wonder which, if either, is accurate.

Very interesting! But there are even more indicators that shows fear (ie VIX and TRIN). But it's nice to have the other perspective as well.

Thanks!

Babak, is it a contrarian indicator if there's a subprime skit on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart?
