Babak,
I cannot understand why anyone gives any credence to permabears or permabulls. How can anyone even tell when they're right when even a broken clock is ...
http://sentimentrader.blogspot.com/2009/06/why-being-cocky-pays.html

I call it the mkt has been “throwing the ball at the spot where they have been swinging” as opposed to they have been swinging at where the ball has been thrown. Proof of that is when the trend changes direction they’re still swinging at the same spot, but the mkt isn’t throwing the ball THERE anymore. So it wasn’t skill it was luck, or rather the broken clock syndrome.

Dave, Leuthold warmed up to stocks in late 2008 and then outright bullish in March 2009 telling people that if they believed in the 'Great Depression' comparison they were 'stupid' lol

"...Plunge Protection Team - because let’s face it, if they exist they are very bad at their job..."

Babak, thank you very much. I've never see an explanation for why "they" weren't able to prevent (all) slides, but then again Santa gets to all rooftops.

Btw, especially thanks for Leuthold's comments. He's not a perma-anything. Therefore, he has some credibility.
