“Way of the Turtle” Book Giveaway
Published April 15th, 2007 in Misc. Tags: curtis faith, trading blog, trading blog contest, turtle trading, way of the turtle.
After writing my review of Curtis Faith’s “Way of the Turtle“, he graciously sent me a signed copy of the book as a gift. Which means that my original copy is now redundant.
So I’m giving it away. I know what you’re thinking. I just wrapped up my first contest and here’s the second one!
What can I say? I can’t have two copies hanging around, can I?
How to Enter the Trader’s Narrative “Way of the Turtle” Giveaway:
All you have to do is to leave a comment on this blog.
Yup, that easy. For this contest, anyone can enter. Just leave a comment on any post you like. Go back to previous posts (bottom of page, left hand corner), check out the Recent Posts on the sidebar or visit the “Best Of Trader’s Narrative” section and see if a post there piques your interest. Then leave a comment. But please, make sure that your comment is meaningful. Not something spammy like: “here’s my comment for the book giveaway”.
That sort of comment will not only not win, it will probably be erased. Instead, tell me if you like/dislike something I’ve written or if you agree or disagree and most importantly why. I would also like to hear from you if you have suggestions for future blog posts or this blog in general. Basically, use your own judgement to make sure your comment has some value. And don’t forget to provide a valid email. It will not be shown to others and I will only use it to reach the lucky winner and find out their address.
You can increase your chances of winning by leaving more than one comment. So, enter the giveaway as much as you like. Just make sure you are contributing something and not just ’spamming’.
When Will the Winner Be Announced?
At the end of the month, I’ll use a random number generator to pick one lucky commenter’s name from among the comments I receive from now until then.
Who Can Enter?
This giveaway is open to the whole world - not just US or North America. So if you’re somewhere in Nepal, you can still enter. Just allow enough time for the yak to deliver the book.
My buddy who took a law course at night-school tells me to add: “Void where prohibited by law”
And don’t forget to visit Curtis Faith’s own blog for some great insight and to get a free preview of the first 25 pages of The Way of the Turtle.

But will you airmail it to China when I win?
I believe yaks can swim Chairman. Given enough time, it will find your whereabouts
I have no problems hitching a ride on a turtle.
I would really love to win this book. My niece Susan loves turtles and books. She loves to sit in my lap and be read to, looking at all the pictures and trying to read. She’s only 3, but is already starting to read some words.
Wow, Susan’s got to be the youngest trend trader I know! I wonder what her thoughts are on the whole systematic vs. discretionary trading quandry? I wish I had started learning about trading at that age.
Sweet! Even if I don’t win the free copy, I’ll probably still end up picking up the book. I really enjoy Curtis’ website and it wouldn’t hurt to support him. Thanks!
My husband’s birthday is just a few days away and the only thing he’s asked for is this book. He’s been studying trading for many years and does a little trading for retirement. He as a separate account from his regular retirement account.
He and a friend meet regularly for lunch to discuss new books and trading strategies. We are raising two grandchildren so increasing our income and retirement assessetts would benefit at least two generations.
I would like to win this book for him. Our grandchildren are 4 and 8 and we are trying to teach them money matters as well as reading and social skills, but we haven’t started teaching them trading yet.
Thanks,
I’ve read many famous author’s books, such as WilliamJ.O'Neil, Van K.Tharp, Jack D.Schwager. These books, of course, all are very useful and I also learned a lot from these books. Especially after I read Tharp’s great book, Trade your way to Financial Freedom, I really felt it’s very necessary to develop own trading system. You know, developing a system is very difficult. This system must be aligned with your characters, and should have a set of rules such as when to buy, when to sell and how to adjust the amount of holding stocks. I want to follow someone’s trading sytem first, and to check whether this kind of system is fit for me. I’ve heard the Turtle’s trading system for a long time. However, you know, currently those so-called turtles rules popular in internet is not belivable. I want to a real turtle trading rules, the book you commented is just what I am looking for. And unfortunately, the book is not availabe in local market. I really wish to get your book. By the way, Thanks for your comments.
I would love to win this book, my 1st grader is on the turtle team in school and I know this would make her day. Plus she’s very interested in going to the beaches and looking for them. Oh I did leave a link from my site to yours when I listed a bunch of contests for people to enter. Hope it drives in traffic for ya.
i m an active trader in Indian Markets and want to any useful tips or techniques for day trading
i m an active trader in Indian Markets and want to know about any useful techniques for day trading. i m also working as software engineer and have created trading signal system with 80 to 90 % success.
i just scanned and read some pages of the preview of Turtle book, it’s simply great. i loved it so much that if i don’t win this giveaway book, i might anyway purchase the whole book.
Although i have programmatically built a successful trading system, i find it hard to follow it due to psychological pressure during trading hours. But still i have made decent profits.
I would like to win the book as well. I am new to currency trading and could use some help. The platforms I use are good but I need to learn more before I get really involved. I need the book!!! metatrader or x trader
Has anyone worked with the metatrader platform? I have heard things great things about the platform. I am new to trading and would like some advice. Thanks, Jill.
